WHY NOT HAVE A MUSEUM OF CAPITALISM?
In my travels around the world have visited hundreds of museums. Neither museum called Capitalism. In the world there are millions of museums, but none of them is a museum of capitalism. In Romania there is even a museum of communism. Why should we not have a Museum of Capitalism?
Seeking the answer to this question popped to mind the French Enlightenment philosopher Voltaire great phrase (1694-1778) about businessmen in London. He writes with biting irony: "London is a prosperous city where Jews, Muslims and Christians to understand the miracle business and fall when they all agree that Gentile and without good faith in God can only be one loser money and go bankrupt. "(VOLTAIRE - Letters concerning the English nation)
Here is a phrase worthy of being written in golden letters over the entrance in an eventual museum of capitalism.
What can we longer exhibit this museum of capitalism? Of course, the Englishman Jonathan Swift sarcasticele essays (1667-1745), author of famous novel Gulliver's Travels to us and happy childhood is the greatest pamphleteer of all time. Swift brilliant and mocked by capitalist ideology in a way so wild that the English nobility was about to go crazy. Put in the museum's pamphlet published in 1729: "A modest proposal to the poor and our beloved country can escape the burden of maintenance of children getting even money".
Here the author uses a brilliant talent in capitalist hypocrisy and calculate its mean, pretending to be concerned to issue the payment burden Kingdom English: "We received assurances from our merchants that a boy or a girl under the age of 12 years old are a marketable commodity and even after that age they can be sold more than three pounds each, at three pounds and half a crown, money not far short cheltuileile made their growth, amounting to 12 pounds. As such, frământându my mind as worthy long lover of my country and willing to escape the burden of unnecessary costs, make your powers humbly informed that I thought that babies can be used to gain good otherwise. I received assurances from U.S. but lived aicila Londracă a plump little boy, well cared for, can be a big food market search, young flesh can be very well cooked and served in soup or steak with cream paint strewn with a little pepper "etc..
Swift describes how cunoaştela Gulliver Academy of Laputa, a laboratory full of barrels of crap, a scholar of the closet and stink awful beard and clothes smeared with feces secretly told him he was about to discover a method of transforming feces in the food of which they came. He tells Gulliver "life work on this project, my lord and say that this way you make money on your food be fully recovered from English sucks and so our society to prosper and get rich and cool! "
Of course, such displays would arouse humor and would entertain children museum visitors in question. They could be even a separate section of the museum.
In another wing of the museum capitalism we can arrange a different compartment. I could put it above the entrance panel that to play in big letters Alexandr Solzhenitsyn's famous text: "It is stupefying that the West, where it is impossible to keep political secrets because they are brought immediately to the public the press, the Russian Stalinist camps terrible secret was perfect and scrupulously kept by British and American governments. In Russian prisons and camps that I went we met often with English and American visitors coming to our official visits. We thought that they will lead their country and say horrors they have seen in Russia. When I escaped from the camp and arrived in the West a quarter century later, I was amazed and did not believe it when I learned that public opinion and U.S. West knew nothing about the tragedies and Stalinist camps. " (Alexander Solzhenitsyn, The Gulag Archipelago, vol 1 pg 39).
But to get on with furnishing museum capitalism. We could put such photos there good cooperation of Western capitalism to communism. Here, we can put this huge wall that shows photos of an entire division ROUA (Russian Liberation Army) led by General Vlasov and other Russian generals who had deserted the Red Army fighting for the liberation of Russia from communism. What mistake could make vlasoviştii! British and Americans troops seized all the dew and have surrendered to Stalin on 2 August 1945. And the Soviets executed all!
Let's put this museum evidence terrible state crimes that French capitalism ordered to abandon the French Army in 1962 on the 20,000 fighters in the hands harkis Algerian Islamic Front for National Liberation. Sensing that they lose Algeria, the French were thought to abandon. But the question was put harkis-s.
Harkis-them were locals who înrolaseră the Algerian and French troops fought with them against Islamic Front which will release Algeria. French generals in Algeria have argued strongly that harkis-them and their families and taken them out of the French colonies Algeria or in France. But Paris has rejected the proposal on the pretext that they were too high transport costs and that the Government had no money for it, because in France was a crisis! And because there was no French billionaire willing to pay a few hundred thousand dollars to save karkis-s, glorious French Army, under the pretext of arms control, he took karkis-s all weapons, has climbed with her soldiers in trucks, then fled breaking ground. Harkişi unfortunates found themselves abandoned completely disarmed the troops in Algeria's Islamic Liberation Front he considered traitors to the nation. That is 20 000 Algerians who fought as soldiers in the French flag colors of France were cynically betrayed by France and were savagely murdered in the most barbaric as possible and they and their families, not even children forgive two years have been strangled in the Islamic parents. Of course, today no one knows anything about this monstrous crime of state. What a pity that there is a museum of capitalism to present it!
In 1945 Britain handed over command of 45,000 Soviet Cossack on the run from the Russian troops and croiseră way through Yugoslavia to England, begging him to grant them political asylum. English Army has quietly gave them new clothes and take food ration allocated to. Then the tanks and infantry surrounded the town near Judenburg. British troops have defeated Cossacks bedding kids, they crowded like cattle in a huge pen, after which they called the Soviet Union and had taught them, knowing that sending them to certain death. Cossacks had even knife to stab each other. They were taken to concentration camps and executed by the Russians as traitors. I could put on a wall somewhere in sight even if the tragic pictures of these people. But we have a museum of capitalism!
On another wall we put in our hypothetical museum photos capitalism Lenz Valley massacre in 1945 where 35,000 died of Ukrainian, Belarusian, Georgian, Moldovan and Russian dissidents who had fled from the USSR and their families had requested asylum and English. British authorities have shown overwhelmingly friendly with these people who refused to accept communism and had assured the fugitives that will be sent to America and Australia. But (as strange and weird!) English has changed over night and kind and hospitable people have suddenly become wolves! Fugitives were surrounded by British troops of General Davis the river Drava Valley Lenz and ordered to go and surrender to the Soviets. From tens of thousands of mouths sounded a single shout: "There we go!" The crowd filled the plain began to cry, Orthodox priests wearing vestments and began to serve outdoors invoking God's protection. Children were crying and their mothers tearing our hair out and shouting British soldiers standing căzându them: "We trimiteţila Stalin that we will kill all! "
But Her Majesty's regiments of British English ("Lord, it protects the Queen!") Opened fire on unarmed crowd and began to break people's heads hitting them with guns and sticks bedding.
Crazy horror, fugitives rushed on the bridge over the river Drava, but British tanks have cut way. When whole families were thrown into the river with all children to die. And thousands of dead, old, men, women and children were buried in the cemetery Lenz German land and almost nobody knows them today. What a pity that all this can not be found in a museum of capitalism!
Resistance scared fugitives, Americans and British did not have handed Stalin's Russia after 1947. Instead they admitted to special camps such as the Wolsberg. Russian women here, under the supervision of British soldiers, working hard from morning to evening to cut the grass. And grass cutting was done in this way: women are lining up at dawn one side to the plain edge is bent (but not to let down) and with scissors cut a single blade of grass that you cleaned the dust and it sat in the apron pocket. Then leaned back and cut a wire and another and another. When we gathered eleven wires tied with wire twelfth longer and they were bunch. And so from morning to evening, days and months.
Of course, such a thing could not have imagined the long democratic tradition than the British and the 1300 years of civilization brilliant English. Why not have a museum of capitalism to show this?
Finally, coming closer to our day, we could arrange that museum dioramas with scenes of the current capitalist Romania. An interesting scene would be that in 2000 or 2001, in Bucharest, one of the floors of the Interior Ministry, a court composed of former Romanian Securitate officials politruci and heavy in the Ministry of Interior of Romania (and Ionel TECS, Vasilescu - Imaging the head of MI, former politruci Zamfir, Colonel Lăpăduşi etc.) you judge the editor of the journal for Homeland, called the office only two weeks. This, lieutenant colonel, was a dissident writer who was hospitalized for five years in communist military forced labor camps. After 1990, the former Securitate and resettled politruci functions reluaseră hăituirea writer. Being afraid to attack them directly or to attack professional resorted's another trick: I paid a ridiculously low. However, his position as editor interested and wanted him to bring the position of their own man, a man was a photographer of the former Securitate. As such it had decided to directly attack the writer and his înscenaseră sort of process that they wanted to prove that he was ... unruly.
The targeted for removal, surrounded by hyenas Security, raised the tone and cried: "Why call me here at the circus? Why did not you change the order sent directly from office? Or you cover? Welcome! If you still like to stage processes, then go ahead and judge me for undermining the national economy and that we hungry people! Your way with this ... "
Of course, sparked uproar. Meanwhile, in the same building, one floor above, counselors accredited foreign minister and conversed with chipeşii former Securitate officers on issues of implementation of European democracy in Romania have asked what happens. "Oh, nothing important! A lieutenant-colonel, a former dissident, protesting against us and shouted that we Securitate. Do not worry. A function to replace the ... "officers said.
And no foreign advice ladies groaning heart, their eyes were troubled when they heard it. Their thin eyebrows, plucked right did not frown. Ladies have struck in the leg, not swept backhand liquor and champagne glasses on the table, throwing them away and have not jumped up on chairs shouting "We want to go there and talk to the man! "as he should have and as they had said to their country and the Congress Government.
And former lieutenant colonel, eventually dismissed, with sadness and disappointment embittered soul was sick of ulcer and liver, spent about two years in hospitals and eventually was retired with a pension ridiculous that barely enough to pay for medicines and of which only lived for one month to another. And can that be living today if not have died ...
Yes, you could edit this scene interesting. What a shame that we have a museum of capitalism! Our young generation could see there many and could learn a lot! Oh, there could learn a lot about young Romanian market economy and especially the politics of market capitalism! Why do we have in Romania a museum of capitalism?

Good article. Two observations
A. "Good Romania there is even a museum of communism. "
There will to be insane by Tismaneanu.
Two. Submit comments no attention to anyone that you see that too. You can make a list of ugly words and replace them with asterisks. Too bad I found out later on you.
At the kiosk can find a paper version? It's a surprisingly good review that I did not know.
